Our Flavor

Saying that our church is a congregation in the PCA is about as specific as labeling your ice cream flavor “ice cream.” While the denomination has a very consistent theology from church to church, the practice of “doing church” can vary widely. We’re all ice cream in the PCA, but we each have our own flavor.

New Hope is like a small family. It has had a rough few years, losing its pastor to illness, and nearly losing their building to the flood of 2011. These events have been hard on the congregation, and as a result what remains is a small but committed and caring body. Because of these trying circumstances, we understand what it’s like to suffer. We understand that being a Christian doesn’t mean you enter into a problem free life! Sometimes, it’s the opposite. Each week we strive to bring our struggles to the cross, to take 10 looks at our Savior for each look we take at our sin or our struggles, and we encourage each other to do the same.
